A bridge across the racial divide

The racial tension and conflict in the states is old and bitter, but what if there is a remedy, at least of a modest sort. It has been tried before. Alexander the Great urged his European troops to breed with the Persians, an ambitious plan to intermarry thousands of his Greeks with the local Persian beauties. Other times and other places have also seem widespread "minglings" which often wound up with a resulting NEW (blended) race or raza, one might say.

Would it work in America?

The American situation is unique, but the attraction is surely not without precedent. In the new world, when the Spanish came, millions of Iberian soldiers formed love liaisons with the American beauties, often taking brides, and giving their own hispanic surnames to future offspring.

In the context of U.S. history, blacks have been a subject people, also not without precedent. Numerous peoples with long histories have gone through extended periods of subjugation. Angles and Saxons and in fact most of the northern European tribes underwent long periods of Roman and feudal domination. The tribesmen were in effect the slaves of the superior Romans.

Zora Neale Hurston commented that slavery is very often the price of civilization.

The long climb and triumph of blacks in America is historic and epic, a story both inspiring and almost larger-than-life. But even with a black man elected to the presidency with an overwhelming landslide margin, the story of racial healing is not totally complete.

What better way to heal the aftermath of so much pain than to promote the acquaintance-ship, or even romance, between black men and white women of high standing? Could there not be a concerted program to bring about the (sexual) friendships blossoming naturally between white women (whether wives, or teenagers, whatever situation) and black men of suitable strong personality or virile temperament? Please. To the white husbands in question, this is for your healing. This could be the next step forward in the redemption of our nation on the sexual and racial dimensions.

The Best of the Best

From time immemorial when nations (even at the tribal stage) wished to cement friendships between themselves and others (neighboring peoples, etc), the way chosen was through marriage alliances. The Prince of one tribe, would marry the Princess of another, and thus form a bond or relationship which would, ideally, establish a firm bridge between the two. Ut unum Sint. In the prayer of Jesus, his ideal was that "the twain may be one."

When the time is ripe

Let us try a conscious and intentional program of date nights. This must be free-will and win-win for our whole country. Bridge-building means that white "chicks" hook up with the black guy of their wishes, dreams, not for anything inappropriate, but rather the most appropriate thing in the world. Would not such an opportunity flourish into something wholesome and fulfilling, with no pressure for anything hot and heavy, other than what might evolve freely and naturally. What God joins together, let not man (even white man) impede or interfere with.

Is this guy serious?

I have no doubt it will be said that I can't be serious with my "modest proposal" to bring about healing between the races. It sounds like a big joke. (And I admit that it does.) A proposa of large-scale amalgamation indeed will shock some people. No doubt insecure white husbands (or any insecure white men) will feel a bit "on the spot." But I am hardly the first to make such a proposal. Norman Podhoretz, the eminent American neo-conservastive, once wrote movingly about the race question, and he made exactly the same proposal. And well over a century ago, the Middle Eastern (Farsi) prophet Bahá'u'lláh (founder of the Bahá'í faith) urged just such a blending of the black and white, such an amalgamation of races in the world. Even the Bible, in a passage describing the near-extinction of the tribe of Benjamin, narrates the salvation of the tribe through a mass rape by the men of another tribe.

And then American Malcolm X, in the sixties, lamented "Only God can solve America's racial problem."

The simple fact is, from the beginning of settlement in the New World (western hemisphere), there has been an underlying dynamic going on, built on racial difference. That dynamic was the de facto sexual subjugation of non-white women by white men. what A.W. Calhoun spoke of it, noting, "the Master's right of rape." White man 'owned' body (and soul if he could) of every woman, child, man in his domain. Not all of the white "lords" abused the almost unlimited power they possessed. But some abused that power brutally. Even the Master's own wife and children were not exempt from the power of this domination, legally, socially, politically. But at least his white wife (whether he loved her or ignored her) had status, and standing. At least she had family and kin who cared how she was treated.

If turnabout is what History all too often ordains and consecrates as a kind of healing denoument to the sins of the Past, then surely the handwriting is on the wall. Surely a part of the attraction between white women and "gorgeous Negro thug lovers" can thereby be explained. The pendulum has simply started to swing the other way.

We need to consider these heavy matters, but at the same time guard against gullibility. Fashionable urban legends may be just as "wishy" as the old, venerable rural ones. For example, the stereotypes of white-man's porn-perverted nerdiness. (Almost a reverse corollary to the scintllating urban legend of superlative black male prowess.)

There may be a touch of Darwinian humor in the fact that from the desperate white wife's perspective, the black man is the clear choice (speaking SUPERIORITY-wise). Something deep inside the white woman immediately senses the superior. In rejecting the sexual "loser" (even if it be a repressed or geeky spouse), she is responding to her built-in instinctual needs. It is her own DNA crreating the cravings (social "expectations" or "norms" to the contrary).

I has been estimated, and surely is somewhere near accurate, that 78% of white woman ages 15-30 are attracted to black men. Obviously this is a north American statistic, as it was already known that European white women have a craving for black guys. No one knows why this is, but a speculation that seems credible is that white men, spoiled and pampered and stultified with materialism, education, hedonism -- have become softies and even somewhat artificial. White woman, still feminine, craves a real man. Schopenhauer commented upon this attraction well over a hundred years ago, white women love black guys. BAM. Too simple to deny, but why?

Black guys, at this time in history, are still MEN. No cut to white guys, the world needs its nerds and softies, no question. But black guys, they may be urban devils. They may be BAD BOYS. But women seem to be attracted to masculinity, confidence, athleticism, and a touch of overt sexuality. The "Negro" seems to shine in these areas. He may not have the book learning or affluence of the white man, but he has emotional intelligence. He knows how to treat a woman. America has treated black guys like hell, called them every name you can think of, lynched them, incarcerated them, kept them in an economic prison for generations. and even fought wars over them, the brothers' war, it is called. Now these same "Negroes" seem to have magic, power, sexuality. Psychological or real, it's the hottest thing going.

White man falling
What man has become a victim of his own success. Surpassing al previous empires in realms from technology to materialism (Mammon) to imperialism and colonialism, his success is now killing him. Having "purchased" over the course of his dominion in the West, not only "civilization" but privilege and power and the good life, he has awarded himself honors, a feather bed existence, a perhaps all-too-pampered "good life" that may well miss the point of life. I.e. accepting challenge, helping others, being, in a word, a real man.

Nsenga Warfield-Coppock points out that the white man is guilty of higher rates of horrible sexual perversions than the black man. "The prison population of gruesome sexual crime is 97 percent white, with sometimes as many as a third of incarcerated white American men in any given prison being there for sexual offenses." Professing themselves wise, they became fools
Over a generation ago, Susan Sontag wrote: "The white race is the cancer of human history." She was concerned with weaponry and pollution, but also oppression and domination and almost (if not all the way) genocide. White man, for all his material achievements, his knowledge and "learning," has become the idolater, worshipping hedonism, worshipping pornography. He seems to have forgotten his own humble origins, his obligations to others -- even his own family, his wife, the environment.

Molefi Kete Asante, a leading proponent of Afrocentrism, identified homosexuality as a western deviation. While he (like Sontag) later softened his criticism, he nevertheless drew wide attention to the creeping decadence of Western (ie white) culture and "civilization."

In his book Afrocentricity, Asante writes that "homosexuality is a deviation from Afrocentric thought because it makes the person evaluate his own physical needs above the teachings of national consciousness" Asante argues that homosexuality is a product of "European decadence."

One recent [September 23rd, 2009] online contributor takes note of the statistic that there are far more white pedophiles than any other race and that is a fact, at least in the US, and the sample size is large enough that it is probably true of other countries. According to the FBI, 91% of all pedophiles are white males. [Bizriakisaputz]

A contemporary grassroots "watchdog" group, White Watch, is striving to monitor persistent abuses by white supremacists intent on perpetuating white oppression or exploitation of women, minorities, children (or the environment???). They worry about the statistics, which lopsidedly indict the world-dominant white man. "Pornography is manufactured exclusively by whites. They are slowly but surely destroying the environment. Whites are more likely to be sexual predators, child molesters, rapists, stalkers and mass murderers. Why? The problem lies in [white man's] own nihilistic belief of racial superiority and the lack of a real sustainable culture based on higher principles of tolerance and respect." for more on White Watch

The webmeister [Bob Shepherd] believes that while the precise extent of white man's "fall" may be exaggerated in some surveys and data-sources, there is obviously sound basis for the stereotype. Some of "white man's falling" is doubtless a by-product of his material "rise." As the West has advanced in affluence and education, it has also succumbed to hedonism and given in to the temptation to oppress or exploit nature, women, minorities. He has been pampering himself for so long, he fails to see the debilitating effects his seeming success has had to his inner character, to his manhood.

How long will we go on making excuses for white man falling? His frenzied pursuit of materialism brought him an abundance of outward trinkets and trifles. He has worshipped the idols of mammon and "enlightenment" -- and has achieved a kind of brilliance. He gave the world a lot of "science" and rationalism and atheism. But his very success is his downfall, leaving his soul in a condition of near starvation. His anxieties make him unable to function in basic human terms. Intellectually smart, he claims, yet he is emotionally stunted. He leaves his wife starved for emotional warmth, and strength.

To paraphrase a passage from Betty Friedan, one might say the white man's wife, dismayed by the inadequacies of her marriage, confused and unhappy, angry and often humilated by her husband's behavior, is psychologically "primed" to GO BLACK. But she most likely will never do so. Has white man sold his soul for a bowl of mush? The porn plague. [p265. The feminine mystique.]

Catherine MacKinnon claims that defenders of pornography are in effect defending sexual terrorism and the continued subordination of women.

If there is a way to give white man a nudge, it may be to remind him he is not the only fish in the sea. In fact, some of his potential "rivals" may well surpass him in a lot of ways.

In fact, I would like to see the government subsidize and promote such a program to encourage white women and black men to 'hook up', socialize and get married. This would certainly help bring racial unity between black and white as well as abolish the concept of white privilege. One argument against the proposal is that most likely, unions between white women and black men would just become naturally more common anyway, now that racism is openly frowned upon. Of course, romantic love between white women and black men could only be achieved with a lot of struggle and social progress (abolition of slavery, civil rights, anti-colonialism, etc). I was in a large urban city a few weeks ago, and I saw many white women with black boyfriends, husbands and in many cases, with bi-racial children. It is a wonderful thing. If recent trends predict future ones, then the new world will hopefully be a better one. On the other hand, getting the full force of society to positively encourage white women and black men to be together is simply the right thing to do. Racism as codified into law (ie: Jim Crow) was really a paranoid reaction by white supremacist sentiment (supported by white males at the time) to forcibly 'protect' the sanctity of white womanhood from black men. A program to encourage the opposite (white women with black men) is justified considering the historical context. I wonder, what can I, as a white male, do to help your Modest Proposal for racemixing come sooner to fruition? Let us embrace the union of the black man and the white woman.
